Easy Homemade Dinner Bread

If you’ve never made bread, this is where to start. It takes moments to make and tastes amazing. Plus, it’s pretty much foolproof. Most times, we eat it with soup, and there’s rarely any left for the next day.

HOMEMADE HERB BREAD
3.5 cups whole wheat flour
1/3 cup gluten (this is optional, but it will make whole wheat bread taste soft, like white bread)
2t salt
1.5t yeast
4T olive oil
4-5 sprigs of any fresh herb

Add flour, gluten, salt, herbs and yeast to a food processor and blend. Will it’s still on, slowly add olive oil and 1 cup of warm water. Once it forms a ball of dough, add a little more water if it’s too dry or add flour if it’s too sticky. Transfer dough to a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a wet warm towel. Let it sit for at least one hour (and no more than 3 or so).

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Form dough into a ball and use a knife to cut lightly into the top. Bake for 35 minutes.
